These clauses complement Malaplast Co., Ltd.’s full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice. They are drafted to align with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the EU GDPR, and common practice in the plastics-manufacturing sector. Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the information shown in the comment form—typically your name, company (optional), e-mail address, and the comment itself—together with your IP address and browser user-agent string. This helps us filter spam, trace abusive activity, and maintain product-safety records.

If you use Gravatar, an anonymised hash of your e-mail address may be sent to Automattic Inc. to determine whether you have a public profile image. Their privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile image is displayed next to it.

Media

If you upload images—e.g., product drawings, quality-issue photos, or promotional pictures—please strip any GPS or other hidden metadata first. Visitors can download the files and may be able to extract embedded data. Proprietary or confidential information should be water-marked or sent through our secure quotation portal instead.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks.

If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may embed videos, datasheets, or 3D-model viewers hosted on third-party sites (e.g., YouTube, Sketchfab). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the external site: that provider may collect data, set cookies, and monitor your interaction—especially if you are logged into their service.

Who we share your data with

We never sell personal data. We disclose it only:

  • to trusted processors who provide IT hosting, spam filtering, payment gateways, logistics, or analytics—each bound by confidentiality agreements;

  • to governmental or regulatory authorities where we must trace materials, comply with export-control laws, or respond to legal claims;

  • to our courier or freight partners when fulfilling sample or tooling shipments;

  • to our professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) under strict duty of confidentiality.

If you request a password reset, the IP address of the device initiating the request is embedded in the reset e-mail to help identify fraudulent activity.

How long we retain your data

We keep different kinds of information for different lengths of time, all guided by quality-control standards, warranty obligations, and legal requirements:

  • Comments and their metadata—including the IP address recorded at the time of posting—are stored indefinitely. This allows us to maintain a continuous discussion history, trace product-safety issues, and spot recurring problems without losing context.

  • Registered-user profile data remain in our system for as long as the account is active and for five additional years after the account is closed. The extra period helps us meet warranty, recall, and after-sales traceability obligations.

  • Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and full order records—such as purchase orders, delivery slips, and invoices—are preserved for ten years from the date of the last transaction. This aligns with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation requirements and with Thai tax laws.

  • CCTV footage uploaded from factory tours is retained for 30 days unless the footage becomes relevant to an incident investigation, in which case we keep it only for as long as the inquiry or any resulting legal process requires.

After the applicable retention period ends, we securely delete or anonymise the data unless a longer retention period is mandated by law, litigation holds, or regulatory directives.

What rights you have over your data

Under the PDPA and (where applicable) you can, at any time:

  • Access – receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Rectify – correct incomplete or inaccurate data.

  • Delete – request erasure, unless retention is required by law or quality-control obligations.

  • Object / Restrict – stop certain processing (e.g., analytics cookies).

  • Data Portability – obtain your data in machine-readable form.

To exercise these rights, e-mail info@malaplast.com or write to our Data Protection Officer at the address above.

International Transfers

Our main servers are in Thailand. Limited data may be processed in other jurisdictions (notably the EU and U.S.) by cloud providers and analytics tools. Where we transfer personal data out of Thailand or the EU, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or another permitted safeguard.

Automated Spam & Security Screening

Visitor comments and login attempts pass through automated spam-detection and threat-intelligence services (currently CleanTalk and Cloudflare). These third parties may temporarily store IP addresses to identify malicious patterns.
