Malaplast established its in-house tool shop in 1985 to support compression and blow molding operations. Today, we design and manufacture a wide range of high-precision molds, including:

  • Compression and 2-color compression molds
  • Multi-cavity caps & closures
  • Thin-wall injection molds
  • Blow and stretch blow molds
  • High-precision technical parts
  • Fully hot runner systems

Our facility houses over 30 specialized machines (high-speed milling, CNC EDM, wire-cutting, gun drilling, polishing) and uses advanced tools like 3D CAD and mold flow analysis to optimize designs from the first shot.

We also produce pilot molds, machined from hardened steel, to replicate final molds and minimize risk before scaling up. All tools undergo rigorous inspection (CMM, Smart Scope) and in-house testing to ensure precision, durability, and long-term reliability.

Mold Maintenance Center

Malaplast’s dedicated Mold Maintenance Center (MMC) ensures consistent quality, minimized downtime, and reliable production performance.

Our MMC handles routine maintenance, complex repairs, and preventive upkeep, with every tool tracked through detailed maintenance histories and dimensional checks.
